Srinagar, July 09 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s headquarters in Srinagar will remain partially shut for a day tomorrow in the wake of panic that gripped the entire staff after 26 employees were tested positive for the deadly pandemic on July 08. Officials said that the reports of 26 employees who work in J&K Bank headquarters at TRC Srinagar, came as positive on Wednesday (July 08), after which panic gripped the entire staff. “As a precautionary measure and to sanitize the offices, and floors of the headquarters, the headquarters will remain closed for a day tomorrow (July 10),” a senior official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) He said the offices of only vice-presidents and management will remain open. Today, the J&K Bank management closed ground floor-general department, ground floor-enquiry department, 1st floor-vigilance department, Ist floor-S&C Department, Ist floor-IS Audit, 2nd floor-Estate and Engineering, 3rd floor-all departments, and ATM help desk section. Sources in the Bank told KNO that all the 26 employees, who tested positive have been quarantined and their contacts are being traced. “Officers of each branch and department have appealed the employees who have come in contact with those who have tested positive to come forward and voluntarily go for Covid sampling so that lives of others are protected,” they said—(KNO)
